Granulomatous Lobular Mastitis Treatment

Granulomatous Lobular Mastitis (GLM) is a rare, benign (non-cancerous), chronic inflammatory disease of the breast. Although it is not breast cancer, it can closely resemble breast cancer in its symptoms and imaging findings. Treatment depends on the severity of the disease, the presence of infection, and the individual's overall health.

Galactoligosaccharides

Galactooligosaccharides (GOS) are non-digestible oligosaccharides composed of galactose units with a terminal glucose molecule. They are produced mainly from lactose by the action of the enzyme β-galactosidase through a process called transgalactosylation.

GOS are classified as prebiotics because they selectively stimulate the growth and activity of beneficial intestinal bacteria, particularly Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus.
